Passing The Torch
While I was buying drinks at the ICP concert, some sentimental metal head dude told me he used to have a hat just like mine and offered to buy it off me for $20. After everything I've been through in the last decade, mostly while wearing that toque on my head, I actually did sell it. As Willie Nelson says, "Never be too cool for the cash," and despite the priceless memories it represents, it's still a dollar store hat that I made a 1000% profit on, plus it's hopefully being passed on to someone who will go on to survive more bombastic jackassery with the help of its powers.
I spent the money on half a tank of gas and now I feel old and terrible.
